- Salt Sugar Fat (How the Food Giants Hooked Us) is all about how the processed food industry manipulates us into eating unhealthy foods–sounds like the tobacco industry?
- Wheat Belly by William Davis, MD implicates wheat (and all it’s processed forms) in everything from weight gain, high cholesterol, osteoporosis, skin conditions, inflammation, arthritis, and dementia.
- Grain Brain by Dr. William Perlmutter goes into deeper details on how your digestive system is linked to your brain, and how consuming carbs leads to all sorts of brain disorders (dementia, Alzheimer’s, and more).
- Sleep Smarter by Shawn Stevenson covers not only how to get better sleep, but why your body needs an adequate amount of sleep for weight management, weight loss, and overall good health.
- Earthing by Clint Ober is a fascinating book that suggests more direct skin contact with the Earth will alleviate all sorts of health issues due to inflammation/oxidation.
