We’re always looking for quick and easy recipes and an excuse to fire up the grill (plus use our fresh herb supply). This covers all of the bases.
(modification of recipe originally from Cooking Light)
Serves 4
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh sage (do NOT substitute with dried ground sage)
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 (1 pound) pork tenderloin, trimmed of excess fat
Combine first 4 ingredients (syrup through pepper) in a large zip-lock plastic bag; add pork. Seal bag and turn pork to coat fully with mixture. Marinate in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Prepare grill to high heat. Remove pork from bag (discard marinade) and sear for 2 minutes on each side. Grill 20 minutes on indirect heat, or until a meat thermometer registers 140 degrees for medium pink. Remove from grill to a platter and cover loosely with foil. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
